And yeah he does have a few moments where he behaves a little more heroic than we expect. But he still leaves a lot to be desired in the super hero department.

That said, I have noticed that MST3K can color the way I view a film, especially when they are really harping on it. Sometimes I fall into the trap, other times I call them out for being too hard on the movie, like "Time Chasers" or "Overdrawn at the Memory Bank".Roman J. Much of the misperception likely has to do with how we focus mostly on his whiny moments. On rewatching, he otherwise handles himself reasonably well when he's not wallowing in angst.

Also consider the following. If you were pushed out a third floor window by a stranger who then insisted that you put on a belt because you're descended from a Meso-American puma god from outer space, would you have reacted any differently from Tony?Sitting Ducknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2801441755423984496.post-44112585604948419972012-09-21T06:48:22.561-07:002012-09-21T06:48:22.561-07:00It certainly is. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Shout! Factory is able to untangle the rights issues. They did manage to get all the Sandy Frank versions of the many Japanese imports that MST3K tackled in season 3 - and fans kept hearing we'd never see "Gamera" or "Fugitive Alien" on DVD.Roman J.
